OFFICE MANAGER

Full-time position

We are seeking a highly organized, self-motivated, entrepreneurial individual with excellent communication skills to join our innovative and diverse team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have the ability to thrive in a busy and dynamic environment, leading the day-to-day running of the office, and providing logistical support for projects. The diversity of work will include business administration, office management, supporting the accounting team, social media, and marketing. The position will require a well-rounded candidate who could assist colleagues in logistics, human resources, administration and developing and maintaining employee processes. The ideal candidates that hold the right combination of experience and education will be considered. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with company policy, hiring, queries and improving the well-being of staff members

  • Managing staff expenses, inputting invoices, reconciling company credit cards

  • Communicating and managing correspondence with customers via phone, website, and social media platforms

  • Coordinating all office logistics, including purchasing supplies, and maintenance of office processes 

  • Assisting in human resources activities

  • Coordinating fieldwork safety logistics and training

Education & Certificates:

  • Diploma, or certificate

  • Proficient with MS Office Programs, Google Suite

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license

  • Occupational First Aid Level 1 (asset)

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Adobe Suite experience (asset)

  • QuickBooks experience (asset)

  • Social media and marketing platforms (asset)

Skills & Abilities – General:

  • Well-developed multi-tasking skills, rapid learner, innovative and creative

  • Ability to problem solve and make new plans as circumstances dictate

  • Ability to take direction from others and work both as an individual and part of a team

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly writing and telephone manner

  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills

The position is full-time (40 hours per week) based out of our Cranbrook office.
